Deskripsi Mata Kuliah
Mata kuliah Teori Pendidikan Kritis membahas konsep, prinsip, dan aplikasi pendidikan kritis dalam konteks pendidikan luar sekolah, dengan menekankan peran pendidikan dalam membangun kesadaran kritis terhadap ketidakadilan sosial, ekonomi, dan politik. Mahasiswa akan mendalami sejarah dan perkembangan teori pendidikan kritis, pemikiran tokoh utama seperti Paulo Freire, Henry Giroux, dan Peter McLaren, serta kritik terhadap model pendidikan tradisional yang bersifat hegemonik. Mata kuliah ini juga mengeksplorasi metode dialogis, pedagogi pembebasan, peran media dalam reproduksi ideologi, serta strategi implementasi pendidikan kritis dalam pendidikan nonformal. Mahasiswa akan dianalisis secara mendalam melalui studi kasus, refleksi kritis, dan proyek berbasis komunitas untuk memahami bagaimana teori ini dapat diaplikasikan dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat dan transformasi sosial.

- Mahasiswa mampu menerapkan konsep kesadaran kritis dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program pendidikan nonformal berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat.
- Students are able to develop dialogic and reflective learning methods as an alternative to participatory education in non-formal environments.
- Students are able to identify various forms of social inequality that are reproduced in the education system and design solutions based on critical education.
- Students are able to design teaching materials and learning media that are oriented towards strengthening critical awareness and social transformation.
- Students are able to communicate critical ideas systematically and argumentatively both verbally and in writing in accordance with academic norms and ethics.
- Students are able to work together in groups to conduct case studies and community-based projects related to the implementation of critical education in non-formal education.
