This course aims to deepen students' critical understanding, analytical skills, and appreciation of prose literature, including short stories, novels, and essays from diverse cultural contexts, by examining key literary elements such as character, plot, and style alongside global issues aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Employing a hybrid of case-based learning through literary textual analysis and project-based learning through collaborative creative adaptations, the instructional approach combines interactive lectures, thematic seminars, and group discussions. Assessment procedures are designed to be explicitly critical and reflective, evaluating student achievement through in-depth analytical essays, reflective reading journals, creative project portfolios, and comprehensive written exams to foster articulate expression and empathetic cultural awareness.
