This course aims to equip students with a critical understanding of literature‘s role in the school curriculum, aligning with SDGs 4(Quality Education) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities). Students will explore the theoretical foundations of literature education, examiningits impact on literacy development, critical thinking, and fostering empathy and intercultural understanding. The curriculum delves intovarious pedagogical approaches, including close reading, text analysis, creative writing, and discussions on themes of social justice andglobal citizenship. Students will analyze diverse literary texts suitable for different age groups, considering factors like culturalrelevance and accessibility. Through interactive seminars, group projects, and lesson plan development, students will exploreinnovative ways to integrate literature into the curriculum, promoting inclusive learning environments.
