Deskripsi Mata Kuliah
This course focuses on the basic concepts and principles of teaching English to young learners and how to apply them in classroom setting. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and techniques for teaching English to young learners. The scope of this course includes the basic principles of TEYL, contemporary issues in English for young learners, theme-based lesson planning, teaching materials, authentic assessment, and the use of learning media in TEYL. This course applies a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach through lesson design, teaching simulations, and material development projects appropriate for young learners.

- Having a profound understanding of the basic concepts and principles of TEYL, and recognizing current issues on TEYL thoroughly
- Selecting appropriate teaching techniques and media in EYL classes
- Designing and developing lesson plans and appropriate materials for teaching English to young learners in any circumstances
- Implementing the lesson plans in peer-teaching activities
