Deskripsi Mata Kuliah
This course develops students’ advanced critical reading and academic writing skills at the CEFR B2 level. Students apply a range of critical reading strategies to analyze academic texts, identify arguments, authorial positions, assumptions, and evidence, and synthesize and respond to ideas using appropriate academic vocabulary. Building on these reading skills, students develop logical, coherent, and persuasive arguments through the writing process, from generating and organizing ideas to composing and revising full argumentative essays. Through case-based learning, analytical reading, discussions, writing workshops, and peer review, students are encouraged to critically evaluate information, appreciate diverse perspectives, and produce well-supported academic texts for academic and professional purposes. The course promotes inclusive and equitable learning by strengthening students’ academic literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills, thereby supporting quality education and contributing to reduced inequalities in access to and participation in academic and professional contexts.
