The critical education theory course leads students to have an understanding and skills in analyzing thebasics of community development through educational studies in the context of social reality. To ensurethis understanding, it is necessary to provide material in the form of: the concept of philosophy and
ideology of education, the politics of education played by the state, the concept of critical education,the concept of education about problems and critical education, educational methodology, trainingmanagement, training media processing, educational visualization, and comparison of criticaleducation with other educational concepts.This course provides an understanding of, social concepts, social facts, social theories and theirdevelopment, critical theory and its originators, critical education, as well as derivative theories thatdeveloped in the modern era, the skills to analyze the basics of community development througheducational studies in the context of social reality, through explanation, discussion and presentationthrough explanation, discussion and presentation. Indicators of success in this course if students are able to implement theory into the practice of Non Formal Education

- Mahasiswa mampu menerapkan konsep kesadaran kritis dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program pendidikan nonformal berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat.
- Students are able to develop dialogic and reflective learning methods as an alternative to participatory education in non-formal environments.
- Students are able to identify various forms of social inequality that are reproduced in the education system and design solutions based on critical education.
- Students are able to design teaching materials and learning media that are oriented towards strengthening critical awareness and social transformation.
- Students are able to communicate critical ideas systematically and argumentatively both verbally and in writing in accordance with academic norms and ethics.
- Students are able to work together in groups to conduct case studies and community-based projects related to the implementation of critical education in non-formal education.
