This course discusses the concept of animal systematics, scientific nomenclature, special characteristics/differentiating characters and general characteristics, description, identification, classification and diversity of animals including the Phylum Porifera, Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Nemathelminthes, Annelida, Mollusca, Arthropods, Echinoderms and Chordata. Apart from that, this course also reviews the benefits of these animals for human life, kinship relationships between taxa and research methods both in morphology and DNA which are studied using computer programs (Information technology/IT). Learning is carried out with a student centered approach using the flipped learning model, practicum and Project Based Learning which is carried out honestly and independently.
