Course Description
Discussion about the concept of matter and energy, the concept of chemical bonds, measurements and basic laws of chemistry, the concept of chemical bonds and their types, water chemistry, calculations in chemical reactions, the concept of chemical solutions and solution concentration, the concept of colloids and emulsions, acids, bases, salts and pH, and quantitative chemistry related to the field of nutrition. Learning is carried out using the Case Study model, as well as using discussion, question and answer methods and practice solving example problems
Program Objectives (PO)
- Mahasiswa mampu menjelaskan konsep dasar kimia, materi dan energi, teori atom, ikatan kimia, campuran/koloid, serta karakteristik senyawa organik sederhana.
- Mahasiswa mampu menganalisis sifat air, hukum dasar reaksi kimia, konsep larutan dan konsentrasinya, serta melakukan perhitungan stoikiometri dalam reaksi kimia.
- Mahasiswa mampu menerapkan konsep asam–basa untuk mengidentifikasi sifat asam dan basa, menghitung pH larutan, serta menjelaskan pengaruh asam–basa pada bahan pangan.
