Providing skills and knowledge about German culture (Kulturkunde). Lectures are held in a contrastive manner to foster an attitude of respect for one‘s own culture and an attitude of empathy towards foreign cultures with the hope that students will later have humanist competencies. The rationale used in this lecture is the theory of interkultureles lernen im Fremdsprachen. Themes discussed and presented by students in this lecture include, Geografie, Bundeslaender, Wohnen in Deutschland, Essen und Trinken, Schule und Ausbildung, Verkehrsmittel, Feste und Braueche, Deutsche Geschichte. These lecture activities include classroom lectures, discussions, giving assignments and searching for the latest data via the internet and other media. Evaluation is carried out through written tests, assignments and presentations as well as activities in PBM.
