This course includes a discussion of three approaches, namely: quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. Coverage of material regarding the meaning of research and the context that forms the background for the development of research approaches in the field of education. Then the basics of each research method will be discussed as an effort to develop educational research plans. The discussion continued by discussing the stages of conducting research in the field, namely sampling techniques or selecting research subjects, data collection strategies, instruments and analysis techniques. The discussion also includes the validity and reliability of the research. After the mid-semester exam break, it continued with a discussion of the results of reviews of various types of research using quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. At the end of the lecture, students practice preparing research plans and presenting them.
