The strategic management course focuses on the concept of strategy and the process of formulating, forming, implementing, and evaluating strategies. The course covers: establishing strategic direction or vision (mission, vision, values, and objectives), analyzing the external environment, identifying internal resources and capabilities, developing and selecting strategies at the corporate, business, and functional levels, implementing and executing strategies, and evaluating and controlling strategies. Students are developed to have the ability to think strategically, make strategic decisions, and view various business issues from a company-wide perspective.
