This subject provides the students with listening practices and listening strategies. It covers listening skills such as identifying general and specific information of non-authentic and authentic materials which contain particular issues in various forms (for example, talks, interviews, talk shows, debates, and speeches), guessing meaning by context, identifying relevant points , identifying inferred information & organization of ideas, assuming, summarizing, note taking, and giving values of the issues in upper intermediate and pre-advanced levels. The teaching-learning activities are conducted through presentation, discussion, question-answer, and assignment.
