Hoeren I Course

Providing listening skills in everyday German communication. The aim of this course is to provide competency in listening to spoken discourse in German at A1 level. Students are trained to listen well by using appropriate listening strategies. Lecture material is taken from the book Netzwerk A 1 Einheit 1-12 and supported by material from various books at the same level. Lectures are carried out in an integrated manner using a communicative approach, with the aim of students being able to speak German comprehensively. Lecture activities include lectures, questions and answers, discussions, listening, individual and group work using print media, CDs and videos. Assessments are obtained from assignments, mid-semester exams and final semester exams.
