Urbanization in the Third World Course

This course generally discusses various basic concepts of urbanization; concepts of the developed world and the developing world; the problem of rural-urban disparities; gender and employment issues; urban work; housing for poor groups in urban areas; problems of rural-urban social change; farmers and urbanites; post-urbanization rural-urban relations (Jakartacentric case study); case analysis of the State‘s response to the phenomenon of urbanization in the era of regional autonomy.
