This course provides an understanding of the basic concepts and development of traditional bridal make-up art in Indonesia. Explanation of the various types of Indonesian bridal make-up which are divided into berpaes and non-paes categories, which are located on the island of Sumatra, parts of Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, NTT and MALUKU, where in each region a study will be carried out on the development of traditional bridal make-up in the form of modifications in the hair styling, make-up, clothing and accessories used, which are adapted to the latest trends. Carry out practice and trials of traditional bridal make-up and modifications with bridal make-up techniques in accordance with fashion developments, and in the process documentation will be carried out for portfolios which will be evaluated and assessed by students and lecturers. The learning process is carried out by applying a constructivist approach, namely direct, cooperative learning methods, and project methods where students in groups are asked to carry out traditional and modified bridal make-up projects that are currently trending, where there will be a solution to problems that occur in model conditions, limited tools and materials. , as well as time constraints. All learning outcomes and student work will be made in the form of portfolios and reports which will be presented by students.
