Course Description

This course focuses on activities to develop student competency in the field of designing, creating and developing Japanese language learning media, both print and electronic, IT and non-IT based. This course begins with an introduction to the concept of learning to provide basic knowledge in developing learning media which contains learning objectives and competencies that will appear in the media. After understanding the concept of learning, students are introduced to media in general, including the types and characteristics of learning media. In the end, students will learn about the development of Japanese language learning media including development models and procedures, including the process in each stage of learning media development. This lecture is conducted using lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. Students are also given assignments for presentations and carrying out projects to develop Japanese language learning media as the final assignment for this course.
