This course develops students‘ capacity to create 3-dimensional art using various media and techniques of their choice. This program focuses on individual development and student self-expression at an advanced level based on areas of expertise. Emphasis on developing dialogue and methodology that refines and explores authentic artistic territory. All approaches are welcome, focus on efforts to find problems/discourse/local content, sensationalism and finding the most appropriate materials/metaphors to realize the concept of the work. Dialogue will center on the power of ideas as personal representatives in relation to society at large. In this course students are required to develop individual strategies, studio-based ideolects (distinctive images). The lecture pattern takes the form of experiential learning activities simulating the working life of professional practitioners/artists. Students will engage in critical reflection and discussion. Consolidate material and technical skills, reflexive and research abilities, to develop an autonomous artistic practice. Articulate the vision and philosophy of art as a profession.
