This course examines and provides an understanding of the basic concepts of ethnography and its urgency in the field of clothing, cultural forms in the field of clothing, the form, function and meaning of Indonesian wedding clothing, East Javanese batik motifs and their meanings, social class - lifestyle and its influence on clothing choices, as well as socio-cultural developments and their implications in the fashion sector. Learning is carried out by applying a constructivist approach. The learning methods used are discussions, lectures, group presentations and project work by conducting interviews, observations and preparing reports.
