This course focuses on two things: First, forming students‘ schemata about sociological concepts and theories related to the formal and material objects of legal sociology, the differences between legal sociology and legal science, schools of legal sociology, methods of studying legal sociology, rules -social rules, legal organizational structure, legal sanctions, social stratification in law, socialization and legal awareness as well as legal acceptance and legitimacy. Apart from that, law is also discussed as an instrument of social change, law as an integrative mechanism, the relationship between law and power and ideology, professional legal representation, the relationship between judges, courts and disputes, and the provision of legal aid. Second, provide learning experiences for students to have research skills and social skills through simple research to examine problems of law implementation in society. Students prepare written reports and present them using power point. To achieve this competency, expository, explanatory and exploratory approaches are used.
