This course focuses on the study of disasters that can result from natural forces, such as floods, forest fires, storms, earthquakes, etc.; technological accidents, such as transportation accidents, chemical and nuclear plant explosions; or the disaster of terrorism and its devastating effects. Disasters may initially move slowly or suddenly and unexpectedly. The existence of these incidents will certainly cause disruption and have an impact on the communities concerned, such as displacement of people, economic losses, land damage, deaths and victims, as well as deep emotional suffering.
