Course Description

This course examines the development of Indonesian historical writing from the Ancient, Islamic, Colonial, Japanese, War of Independence, Liberal Period, Guided Democracy, New Order and Reformation eras, distinguishing between traditional and modern historical writing. Lectures by utilizing references, the internet and other sources. Lecture methods include discussion, case study analysis, individual/group assignments and reflection. Assessment using written tests, portfolios and active student participation.
