This course examines the relationship between curation and arts management. This course will examine and interpret knowledge and understanding of curatorial practice, critically discuss and examine innovation and experimentation in curatorial practice and exhibitions, identify, evaluate and apply several ideas and practices regarding contemporary curation, critically reflect on issues in conceptualizing, developing and presenting contemporary exhibition. Students are led to achieve appropriate and relevant arts management knowledge, with the ability to critique, use and apply that knowledge in various situations, enabling critical analysis in discussing emerging new issues, creatively and effectively using available resources to solve arts management problems and be able to reflect on the process and results, with discussion strategies and literature searches.
