This course develops students‘ capacity to realize the art of wood crafts and techniques of their choice. This program focuses on individual development and student self-expression at an advanced level based on the field of craft expertise. All approaches are welcome, focus on adopting local content and sensationalism and finding the most appropriate metaphor to realize the concept of the work. The style of the work centers on the power of ideas as personal representatives in relation to society at large. In this course students are required to develop individual strategies, ideolect (distinctive image), studio-based. The lecture pattern takes the form of experiential learning activities simulating the working life of professional practitioners/artists. Students will engage in critical reflection and discussion. Consolidate material and technical skills, reflexive and research abilities, to develop an autonomous woodcraft artistic practice.
