This course is a practical course in making women‘s clothing, especially the practice of making women‘s clothing for special occasions (party clothing, National clothing, and Mantelpak clothing). Using learning approaches/models/strategies: discussions, questions and answers, guided practice, and assignments. The discussion begins with the development of party clothing, Indonesian women‘s national clothing, and Mantelpak work clothing, types of materials, pattern making techniques using flat and three-dimensional draping/pattern breaking techniques, designing material requirements, calculating the amount of funds or prices, developing work steps/systematics work, and calculate the length of work. Then prepare a practical plan for making party clothes, National clothes and Mantelpak clothes. The next stages are making a large pattern according to the size of the model (mannequin), cutting, sewing using the right sewing technique, fitting, pressing, and finishing techniques. The final stage of the practical activity is to assess the practical results using production quality assessment standards. The lectures are carried out using an individual and classical approach in the form of lectures, questions and answers which are equipped with the use of two-dimensional media, and projection media in the form of multimedia (LCD) as well as giving assignments within the scope of women‘s fashion practice.
