This course examines the decision-making process and work group activities by professional and managerial people; the tools and techniques available in information technology to support this process and when they can be used profitably; some of the reasons why so many executive support systems do not achieve their desired goals; and cultural and organizational issues involved in the use of information tools and technologies. This course has a technical component where students gain knowledge and practical experience in decision support and business intelligence systems using BI software (Pivot Excel and Power BI).
