Course Description
This course examines - Understanding disasters, natural disasters, non-natural disasters and social disasters; - Types of geological disasters and hydro-meteorological disasters; - The impact of each type of natural disaster: - The relationship between natural disasters and the environment; - Legislation and regulations related to disaster management - Stages of disaster management (pre-disaster, emergency response and post-disaster); - The concept of reducing the risk of natural disasters; and Understanding mitigation and mitigation concepts for each type of natural disaster
