This course examines the nature, function, meaning, theory and methodology of artistic aesthetics. Art aesthetics is more defined as understanding aesthetics and understanding art, but emphasizes the study of aesthetics as a mono-discipline. The study of the ontology of art aesthetics includes the study of the nature of aesthetics and art (the nature of form and expression), the basic nature, objective and subjective views of art aesthetics. The study of the aesthetic function and meaning of art is the function and meaning of aesthetics in art which includes aesthetics as a form, as an expression, aesthetics in art education, artistic values, and so on. The theories discussed are aesthetic theories which include western and eastern aesthetic theories, traditional, modern and post-modern aesthetics. The methodological study includes a comparison between aesthetic methodology studies and art methodology studies. The material was delivered using the lecture-question-and-answer method, showing videos, class discussions carried out with the presentation of performance activity reports. .
