The geographical position and geological conditions of the Indonesian region which experience subsurface structural dynamics (geodynamics) are potential geothermal sources and provide opportunities for the production and management of new and renewable energy in the form of geothermal energy. Therefore, the Introduction to Geodynamics and Geothermal course discusses physical and non-physical problems related to the science of the dynamics of the Earth‘s crust and complex physical-geological processes in the occurrence of potential geothermal sources with the lecture approach being phenomenology. Discussion topics in lectures include the dynamics of the Earth‘s crust, parts of the Earth that experience complex physical-geological processes, types of dynamics of the Earth‘s crust, the process of geothermal sources, Indonesia‘s geothermal potential and management (geothermal technology and exploration, geothermal feasibility studies, geothermal injection and production in Indonesian territory).
