Students are able to test the characteristics of DC generators (zero load, load, regulator, external, and short circuit), and the parallel working of DC generators, 1 phase and 3 phase synchronous generators, and make reports; regulating speed, braking, reversing the direction of rotation, and testing the characteristics (zero load, load, control, external and short circuit) of DC motors, synchronous motors and induction (asynchronous) motors; and understand DC power maintenance procedures, prepare for DC power maintenance, carry out DC power maintenance, and make maintenance reports.
