This course discusses agglomeration phenomena, such as the emergence of industrial clusters, business centers, and special economic zones, as well as factors that support agglomeration growth, such as infrastructure, human capital, and innovation. This course contains the concept of agglomeration economics, which includes: theory and empirical studies; spatial analysis of large industries and; spatial concentration trends in Indonesia; dynamics and forces of agglomeration in Java; as well as agglomeration externalities within metropolitan areas.
